Your voice is crystal clear and steady on this piece. Your levels are totally awesome too! The purpose of your story is made quite clear at the beginning and I simply love it. You got to talk to people from lots of different settings where icebreakers are used and you got sound clips of them (very important). The only thing I suggest you work on is a few of the transitions with music and people's voices. I can tell this story was well thought out, because organizationally it makes sense. Congrats on an amazing piece. I hope to hear more!
This is a nice light piece with humor. It opened my eyes to how useful and enjoyable a little ice breaker can be when you just don't know anything about the person standing next to you. I think this short work shows a lot of promise and I hope Ms. O'Grady continues to produce more work in the future.
This light, clear piece feels like fall, when you are asked to "hang out with new people" and come out of yourself in a class or other new group. I like the sound elements she uses. The interviews are good and "in situ."
Criticisms would involve a little tighter structuring (without losing the nice elements), and certainly she needs to deliver her own narrative with more pacing and energy, and alittle less "page."
The problems are mild, however. This piece is ready for airing in a back to school mood.
