Bluegrass music has frequent references to death and the afterlife. Sometimes, these songs embody what can only be termed the macabre. We feature a few songs of this type. Finally, we play the song “Not Fade Away.” It’s been around for a long time, and we trace its path to becoming a bluegrass song.
