1} Why Our father: Poetry emotion asks a profound question answered as if to a child by a dad with a different vision. Strains of soul and oldies music are mixed in. The straight (no actuality) narrative combines two poems for the ear. 2)Surge in Baghadads: Voices from the inner city lead into song from soldier sent back to Iraq. The lyrics, over instrumental bed of Stevie Wonder's "I Wish," evoke the horror and homesickness of a father who fears he may not live to see the birth of his first child. The title, and content suggest he might come home gift wrapped in a body bag. Abrupt experimental sounds punctuate soldier's song. 3) Too Early For Late Father: Long-form narrative with occasional music is a personal memoir of an enigmatic father whose guidance is "dissed" until 35 years...
