Playlist: MEMORIAL DAY? AMERICAN MUSIC STARS WHO'VE PASSED

Compiled By: Paul Ingles

Aretha Franklin

MEMORIAL DAY weekend is a sometimes tricky holiday to program to. While it's important to devote part of the official Monday of Memorial Day to the traditional honoring of the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military, the long weekend itself is also something of an upbeat kick-off to the summer season.

So certainly don't forget our departed vets, but you might find a compromise theme idea in honoring American Music Greats who have passed as well. We offer a host of thoughtful and heart-felt tribute programs to America's top departed music heroes. Consider running a block of artist specials that would best suit what your audience would appreciate. Scroll down to link to specials on -
